Most of us recognise the importance of keeping our cars safely locked away in a garage and having some good quality garage doors is an essential part of achieving this level of security.
Unfortunately not everyone has access to a garage, particularly those who live in flats or apartments. In the United States where many people live in apartments, the building is likely to have a basement area for parking the residents cars, but the United Kingdom rarely considers the need to park vehicles undercover and outdoor car parks or roadside parking are the norm.
Even those who are lucky enough to live in a house do not always have a garage to keep their car safe. Many rely on roadside parking or a driveway to park their car, leaving it vulnerable to all manner of enemies, human and non human!
If you are fortunate enough to live in a property with a dedicated garage, selecting high quality garage doors is a must. A cheap and flimsy garage door with a weak locking mechanism is unlikely to protect your car for very long should someone decide they want it, or what may be inside it. A stout set of garage doors could be the difference between keeping or losing your beloved car.
Having a proper garage, with a good set of garage doors fitted protects your car from more than just the obvious car thief.
If you don't keep your car in a garage, it will be left exposed to the weather and these elements can prove to be devastating to the finish on your car.
Parking inside a garage protects the vehicle from the elements of nature that it would otherwise be exposed to. Rain, mud, salt, particularly in coastal areas, wind, extreme heat from the sun. All damage the exteriors of a car for life.
Parking the car outside exposes the most valuable thing you own, aside from your house. Without the security of a garage and secure garage doors, you could be inviting trouble.
Some areas have a much higher rate of theft of and from motor vehicles, they may have high levels of vandalism or it may simply be that the local bird population choose to use your car as a public convenience. Bird droppings can smother a car in a matter of minutes if parked below trees where birds roost. Sometimes the acid in their waste can eat into the paint finish in minutes and nothing short of a respray will do to rectify the situation.
Parking the car inside a garage with a good quality set of garage doors solves the problems above by keeping unwanted elements away from your vehicle.

extensive range of garage doors for many years. All our work is carried out by experts.
ACE Garage Doors work all over London and the home counties are currently working in and around
the St Albans area.
ACE Garage Doors supply and fit the following in and around the St Albans area:
St Albans has a very diverse mix of architecture that lends itself perfectly
to television and film production. Also its proximity to London have made it
a popular filming location.
The Abbey and Fishpool Street areas were used for the pilot episode of the 1960s
ecclesiastical TV comedy All Gas and Gaiters. The area of Romeland, directly north
of the Abbey Gateway and the walls of the Abbey and school grounds, can be seen
masquerading as part of an Oxford college in some episodes of Inspector Morse and
several local pubs also appear in certain episodes. In fact the Morse filming crew
frequently set up shoots in and around St Albans for many of the shows episodes.
Fishpool Street, running from Romeland to St Michaels village, stood in for Hastings
in some episodes of Foyles War. Life Begins was filmed largely in and around St Albans.
The Lady Chapel in the Abbey itself was used as a location for at least one scene in
Sean Connerys 1995 film First Knight, whilst the nave of the Abbey was used during a
coronation scene as a substitute for Westminster Abbey in Johnny English starring Rowan
Atkinson.
The 19th century gatehouse of the former prison near the mainline station in St Albans
appeared in the title sequence of the TV series Porridge, starring Ronnie Barker. The
2001 film Birthday Girl starring Ben Chaplin and Nicole Kidman was also partly filmed
in St Albans.
More recently, several scenes from the film Incendiary, starring Michelle Williams,
Ewan McGregor and Matthew Macfadyen, were filmed in St Albans, focusing in particular
on the Abbey and the Abbey Gateway. It has also been used in the setting for the fictional
town Waltringham, in the TV show Humans.
The Abbey itself is also used by the University of Hertfordshire as a favoured venue for
graduation presentations. The whole of St Albans becomes awash with gowns and mortar boards
on a graduation day.
Not only does the University of Hertfordshire use the Abbey for graduation ceremonies,
they used to have their law faculty just off of St Peters Street at the centre of the town.
Although the faculty has now moved to a new location in Hatfield, the University has
maintained close ties with St Albans.
